Are you up for the challenge?

VP of Business Solutions will support the mission and goals of Exponent Health by leveraging technology to address business current and strategic objectives. In this role you will be responsible for developing technology blueprints, product road maps, and designing solutions to solve business objectives. You are empowered to establish and implement standards and practices to ensure consistency and scalability in providing business solutions. You will work closely with the application engineering and data operations teams to deliver business solutions. You must demonstrate a knowledge of business models and technology tools. This position reports directly to the CTO and has at least 10 years of experience in business architecture, including project, and technical leadership.

You will have the chance to work with cutting edge technologies in an innovation driven environment where the team works collaboratively to solve challenges to achieve common goals. In this role you will:

  1. Plan and Align (25%) – Builds partnerships and work collaboratively with technology, business, and operational stake holders to define technology, operational blueprints and roadmaps to meet shared objectives; Works across functions and supports client first mindset.
  1. Deliver and Execute (60%)- Works with Chief Transformation Officer to define ExpionIQ platform, engages with business and operational stakeholders to define solution blueprints. Works with product management and development to ensure all blueprints are appropriately translated to low level plans and detailed designs.
  1. Innovation (15%) – Engage with customers and prospects to understand market trends and regulatory changes to advance our product portfolio.

This role will require limited travel (up to 5%).

  • Build product roadmaps and technology blueprints in collaboration with business unit leaders and operational leaders
  • Collaborate with all business unit leaders and provide leadership and support by developing data-driven strategies and recommendations that help them meet our strategic goals and objectives
  • Work directly with senior leadership to identify, analyze and address key business opportunities and critical business challenges
  • Provide strategic and analytical support to senior leadership when evaluating and updating organizational goals and objectives
  • Create actionable insights and understandings through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address organizational goal and objectives
  • Responsible for resource and budget forecasting to accomplish deliverables.
  • Collaborate with technical architects and engineering teams to develop the scalable solutions
  • Provide leadership, strategic direction, and management for delivering solutions
  • Collaborate with functional and cross-organizational Business Analysis, Client Service Delivery, Implementation Project Management, and other technical services to ensure that all Product, Sales and Client initiatives are successfully delivered and that business goals are supported in a cost effective, timely manner, with a resulting high level of client satisfaction.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to accurately represent capabilities of Exponent products
  • Support Sales in business development efforts as required providing business analysis, technical product expertise and delivery overview for the implementation and support of Exponent products and services.
  • Provide leadership and strategic guidance during the various phases of the development and commercialization process for new products to ensure all necessary tools, processes, procedures and staff are in place to support a successful implementation rollout and ongoing service delivery and growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Expertise

  • 10+ years of work experience in Business architecture in Healthcare Payer industry
  • 10+ years of work experience in technology development and architecture
  • 5+ years of experience in working with executives and business leaders
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams or projects and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.
  • Must be able to analyze data independently using tools like Qlik, Excel, AWS Athena
  • Must be able to guide technology teams in delivering solutions
  • Must have developed solutions using cloud-based architecture
  • Must have business process design experience in healthcare payer industry
